Holy smokes, look what landed on my driveway yesterday! I'd sure like to get some idea of how old it is. With the aluminum castings between the handles, I figure it must be back a good ways.

The nameplate is still on there, and is pictured below. It looks like the serial no. is 314187. Aw, company's here for Pappy's day. Talk to you all later!

Model number is 414 GB and purty durn sure that ain't "Gigabytes"!

My father has used his 21 mower for as long as i can remember. The carb is now broken and wont run. where can I get him a new motor or a new carb?

My mower just idles. I’ve been told the compression is low and not making enough vacuum to open the butterfly in the carb. We’ve checked the valves, and they looked good, so if they are right, it’s the rings. My mower is a late 80s self propelled. It’s not here so I don’t recall it’s hp. Where do I acquire a new motor for my mower?

New style handle bar and fix for rear wheel adapter

Came up with this for a little different style handle(cutting the ends off and using the old swing over style handle bars. Machined a few parts and added 4 bends and another set of mounts to take the pressure off just having it on the rear mount by the wheels. Then made template,(cardboard, aluminum then the final one in chromoly) leveled the deck on a fixture table and cut out those adapters and welded to the factory style machined wheel adjustment nuts.

Hey guys do you know where I can find that steel tab that mounts to rear of lawn mower to change my swing handle to a rear mounted push handle. Another thing I can't seem to find is that adapter tha allows me to run a 10" rear wheel instead of the 8"s that my mower comes with......even just a close up pic might work and I will make a couple.....

I'm a new poster, just changed the engine on my Sensation after more than 40 years with the original 3.5hp.
It runs fine with the new engine. The mower shop where I bought it rigged up a kill switch.
The problem is the blade adapter fails when the engine is shutting down. Lost 2 so far.
I'm using the original blade, no disk.

Sensation Model 11G3.

Any ideas on how to fix the problem?

Someone help .... model??

We just came across this mower, we can’t find anything on it. It still runs well. Any advice, especially maintaining it, since it seems pretty old.

21” “Negative image” custom Professional mower

I picked up another 21 inch Professional mower last fall. The prior owner used it as his primary mower for well over a decade. He told me she smoked then would not start so he put her on a local Craig’s list. It was located one town over from where I live and since I have a soft spot for Professional models, I took the ride over to take a look. She was a bit rough so I negotiated a better deal and took her home.

I met Rocco while he was in the area and gave him the 4hp vertical pull start engine for rebuilding. A few weeks later Rocco informed me the engine was toast. The rod had snapped and cracked the block.

Previously I had purchased Rocco’s tricked out 3.5hp engine. As I was mulling over what direction to take with this engine, I looked at all the awesome custom machines that Rocco had created. The idea hit me like a lightning bolt. Why not create a negative image mower with the colors swapped. After running my idea past Rocco, as well as picking his brain for details, I began the task of making this mower a “ one off creation”. I swapped the color placement, semi gloss black deck with orange details. Once I got the decals fabricated, the project picked up steam.

I located an NOS lower grass deflector to replace the missing one. I put on a set of NOS factory wheels and new blade. The mower retained the original crank protector and circular blade shield.

The deck and handle bars were striped to bare metal and coated with self etching primer. Rustoleum flat back and Orange were then applied then a few coats of Eastwood semi gloss clear diamond coat was applied. The handlebars GT several coats of Rustoleum semi gloss white.

I located a real nice grass catcher that just needed a good cleaning to complete it.

I think she turned out great! She will share primary lawn care duty with my other Professional. Actually, I’m not happy with the orange paint I used on my other mower so I’ll be repainting it in the near future.
