What kind of media do you guys recommend to remove the paint from a deck. What primer and paint do you recommend. I have both orange and green sensations. Thank you.

I have my decks sent out for professional blasting. I don't know exactly the media they use. For the worn out sides I apply Marine-Tex and build it back up and reshape. The deck doesn't really need a primer because it's so porous. I recommend getting them powder coated if they don't need Marine-tex but check out my paint section on here, (http://www.sensation-mowers.com/node/72) I posted options. If for some reason if you need to build up the side of the deck AND want to get them powdercoated, then use JB weld.

Thanks Rocco, do you start with a blasted deck before applying either Marine Tex or JB Weld? Never thought to powder coat these decks, great idea. I'll have to look into who does that work around here.

What is your lead time to rebuild an engine?

Yes get them blasted first, Then make sure you degrease them too. Also if you use JB weld, make sure you build up your sides in 1/8" increments and let fully cure before next layer. As far as lead time, right now... about a month unfortunately.
