If you have disconnected the engine brake and still your engine won't shut off, there's an easy fix. Behind the throttle plate, above the gas tank there's a switch installed, unused. (see pic.) re-route the switch wire from the brake to that switch, or just run a wire from the coil to that switch behind the throttle bracket.

No problem. I'll call you soon! I usually take the brake off too, weld a portion of an old shroud to the back of the shroud to cover the missing metal, bondo/sand it smooth and repaint.

Yup, I too pulled the brake off. I suppose I should have patched in and blended the cover. The time to do that was when I stripped the old paint off.
