Hey guys new here (site looks great) I have been a member of the yahoo group for a while now. I live in northern NJ and have been pushing Sensation mowers for over 20 years.. Ive collected a few over time and will post pics soon. Most recently I found a flip handle 3.5 hp, orange with mag wheels and am refurbishing it as we speak. Pics to come!

I'll leave with this link to a patent of William Phelps, #2763492 from 1956. The flip handle was born! (Notice its a different design than what we have on most of ours)

Think mine is a 1982... a true beast but needing carb work now I think. Will have to send in to you Rocco sometime for a total refurb, but for now this is my only mower. Hoping to get it going at least well enough for a few cuts... grass is high and green. Wish they still made them like this. Anybody have a service manual .pdf for these?

new here. I'm looking for some help on an older sensation brush mower. I quickly learned there is not a lot of information out there. A friend of mine brought me a high wheel brush mower. model is H220 serial number 142994. . it appears the engine shroud is not original. Even if it was there is no information on it. It's a 3.5 hp Briggs. I was able to match up a new head gasket as it had a broken head bolt. I was able to find Carb Diaphragm by luck. The diaphragm fit models 92500 or 110900/111900. Here's my problem i have no spark. Based on the carb parts i thought i would convert it to Magnatron ignition. installed new coil. left kill terminal unattached and still have no spark. does someone out there know what model engine came on these? Is there a possibility my flywheel is bad. my buddy has since washed his hands of the machine so now it's mine. sure would like to see it running.

I am trying to locate information as to the reference numbers for the belts (2). Thank you for any help.

By Sandra Zikursh

If you're able to get the belt off just take it to any shop. They will match it. I don't have part numbers for that model, but any correct size will do. Belts are not specially made for models, its the other way around. There's enough sizes out there for everything. If you're just looking to order belts, then they're sized according to diameter, not circumference, but even a 1/2 inch will throw you off, Best to get it matched perfect. You'll find one the first place you stop I'm sure.

I have an "orange and white" 21 commercaial since it was new.
Im not sure who is older me or the mower but after over 30 years Ive managed to strip the bolthead to remove the blade. i want to check my memory and to be sure it is counterclockwise to remove the blade bolt. Can someone please confirm.

By larryg

Yes, Counter-clockwise.
