Spring is here!
I prefer the Scotts 4 step program.. And I use the holidays to apply. Easter - step 1, Memorial day - step 2, July 4th - step 3, and Thanksgiving for step 4. Remember usually the scotts 4 step program is not available in big box stores (Lowe's, Home Depot) but found in regular hardware stores. Last year I had a huge grub problem that destroyed my whole lawn, I reseeded and used grubex, I'll have to see what this year brings.
Springing to action!
I bought some high traffic seed mix (Jonathan green) and spread it, then applied ringer lawn restore organic fertilizer, and finally spread a few bags of manure/humus to give the new grass something to grow into.. Hopefully this patchy half dead lawn I inherited will respond well!! Also got a hose timer to keep the seed moist so it can germinate.
AVOID the timers from hd/Lowes, I bought one and it was broken right out of the box. Should have looked at some reviews -90% gave them 1/5 stars!! Junk!
