Hello! I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Joe (Kopfjaeger). I'm 53 I live in northern New Jersey and I've been a Sensation owner for the past 23+ years. Currently I own 3, all orange 21 inch deck commercial models. Two are mid/late 80's with one being NOS. Never been started, never cut a blade of grass, never had oil or fuel in the engine! My "baby" is my every day mower. I have no idea how old she is but she has a a decal staying "The Professional" on the front of her orange deck! The only other one like her that I've seen was in a sales brochure. She has her original rear bag grass catcher and fixed push handle with down angled handles. I treasure that mower more than my car!!
I'm at work now but I'll post photos later. I look forward to trading info and learning more about these amazing mowers!!

Welcome, Glad you joined. What will it take to liberate that NOS mower? hehe

Rocco,

Initially I thought of selling her but......

I thought for sure I'd be able to easily replace my 20+year old 3.75 Briggs & Stratton Easy Pull engine. My local shop informed me, Briggs has gone with an all plastic engine and he wouldn't suggest putting that motor on my mower. While I know the Easy Pull was not correct, I can't put something that modern on her deck.

I was planning to pull the never started 4hp motor off and putting it on my Late 70's Sensation. The wheels as well. I know that engine is not vintage correct either but Ill never find the correct tall motor with vertical pull. The mower I need to get back running was a commercial orange deck marked "The Professional". It's my baby!

Yeah I know, I'm planning to part out an 80's NOS Sensation but it's to save another Sensation.

Hey all. Not sure how many "all" there are here, how many have joined this site? Just curious. I guess we're all a little nuts to enjoy lawn mowers like we do. I have an orange 21" late model that I've been enjoying for 20 years. I acquired a 14" recently that I drove three hours to pick up. I've paid for an orange power rake, but it's 5 hours away so I need to get out there to get it. I'm so excited about it. Gonna be such a nice orange fleet!

There is a beat up power rake not too far from me but I'd love to find a "Cemetary Mower" and a Sensation leaf blower!

Yes that would be awesome to find! I know of a sensation edger. On the east coast though. I'm in Chicago. Seems to be many sensation pieces in NJ for some reason. Wish they were closer.
