Jared's Mowers

The green mower is my fully restored by myself 1968 21 inch that was purchased new by my grandmother. The orange 21 inch was built by me from parts I found. The deck was shipped to me from New York along with the handle. The wheels came off eBay and the engine I found on a beat up Coast to Coast mower while driving to school. The deck was originally a stationary handle so I made my own brackets at school. The big mower was given to me by a man who contacted me through this website.

Summer Update

Jun
22

This summer I have suspended the Sensation-Mowers.com services shop until late Fall. I am completely upgrading my shop with new and better tools for engine work. I also am acquiring many new factory parts and trying to get blocks. I am cleaning all my parts and getting the shop all organized so in the fall I can take orders and get motors out to you faster and much, much better. With the new tools and services I can now provide, my engines will be running much, much better and longer.

Lil' Scalper project

I ran across this non-Sensation project, but it was so cool I had to share it. This guy designed a custom mower based on a 16" deck and a snowblower motor to look like a 1950s car complete with tail-lights and branding. Maybe it will inspire some Sensation mods! The complete story and many more pictures taken as the project was worked on was found here on oldminibikes.com

Summertime!

May
25

I hope everyone's mowers are running good. If you're running a motor that I did for you and there's issues get in contact with me. I haven't heard anything from anyone since I started doing this so I must be doing something right. Regardless let me know how they are running. I will be suspending any motor building for this summer until I get my shop restocked. I'm low on parts and need to procure more factory inventory. I'll start building again this fall/winter. My current project is also on hold due to being extremely busy this spring and a few other issues.

Today’s parts haul

May

Picked up this NOS lower grass deflector for my 21 inch a Professional. I then checked out a Craig’s List ad for a minty rear grass catcher. I passed on that one but the seller had a stock of Sensation catchers. After rooting through them, I landed this beauty! A little elbow grease and she’ll be goos as new!

Mowers For Sale.

Apr
20

Up for sale are 3 mowers. The green one is all original residential used mower from 1976. I put a new standard exhaust valve in, new gaskets, new carb diaphram, new plug, oil. Runs very nice and smooth. Smokes a little at start-up otherwise is a great machine. Many years left on it. I'd like 250 for it. The orange fixed handle mower is a mower I built form the ground up a few years ago for a lady... It has the primer bulb carb for easy starts, runs very very good and smooth.

Another collector whose machines feature a true to original restoration quality, is Tommy. Using all brand new old stock factory parts and professional color-matched paint, his mowers are literally factory new. He promises several of these mowers to hit the scene this summer.

One of the most ardent Sensation mower collectors is also one of the most elusive here. Leigh has been active in the community since 2006. He has met with me on many occasions for advice, service and parts. The level of detail in his machines are unsurpassed. It often takes him YEARS to complete one machine. He even has the bolts powdercoated!. He may not post a lot here, but he's always on and contributing on the front lines.
